On 24th March a consultation was launched to change the name of the University of Bolton.

There has been a lot of negative comments surrounding this name change and not everyone knows the reasoning behind Professor George E Holmes decision. As it stands, the majority of students are finding out information from third parties, rather from the man himself. 

If he was to provide a video statement (then send it to ALL students) outlining his reasoning behind the name change then the students and public may have a better understanding of the situation. The video does not have to be long but it could potentially get students behind his decision.
