Hello and welcome to all our new and returning students to the University of Greater Manchester!

September is one of our busiest months, but one that students love.   We kicked things off with a “Welcome and get to know your SU” event at Orlando Village.  We encouraged students to get to know one another over pizza, snacks and drinks, after which it was off into town for the official start of Freshers Week. 

SU staff attended numerous lecture shout-outs, informing new students about who the SU is and what we do for you.   We’ve recruited new Course Reps and have new societies for you to join. Training the new Course Reps and Society Officers takes place next month.

Danielle and Bill held the first Academic Integrity Workshop, aimed at helping students navigate and avoid using AI incorrectly.   Feedback from this event was fantastic.  They have many more workshops booked in, helping students to avoid academic misconduct.

We continued giving academic advice and other help to students and getting ready for Freshers’ Fair!
