As a result of the devastating fire at the Cube student accommodation in Bolton town centre, the majority of activities we had planned were cancelled.  We spent lots of time helping at the donation station set up in the SLZ and ringing round asking companies for specific donations.  We were overwhelmed with the generous response from individuals, schools, nurseries, Universities, Students’ Unions and local and national companies.    Thank you to each and every one of you who donated.

Prior to this, students has told Ansh (SU President) that students were unable to pay by card in the café at IOM.  Ansh took this up with the University and as a result students the café now has a chip and pin machine.

Jess continued to offer Course Reps training and SSLC briefings and Jess, Ben and Rachel attended as many SSLC’s as they could.
